Bertoua, Public Speaking Students,Receive Awards at CAAO 2026

Public speaking students from the Catholic university of Bertoua receive awards during the first edition of the Academic Cup of Oratory Art (CAAO 2026). The official award presentation ceremony was held on April 11, 2026 at the premises of the Catholic University

The event, chaired by Professor Martin Paul Ango Medjo, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Human Sciences, celebrated student excellence in oratory art. The Professor warmly congratulated all participants for their commitment, progress, and ability to speak with responsibility. In his address, he reaffirmed his vision of a university that forms well-rounded students equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with strong leadership and entrepreneurial spirit.

Moreover Professor Marie Renée Atangana, expressed satisfaction with the quality of performances. She encouraged students to maintain this momentum of excellence and strongly emphasized that speech proficiency serves as a powerful tool for personal success and for creating a lasting impact on society.

Borel Mpouma, a young student entrepreneur, National Champion of the Cup of Oratory Art of Cameroon, and founder of the Speakers Club of the Catholic University of Bertoua (CORUCAB).

Through the CAAO, Mpouma aims to train, reveal, and propel a new generation of Cameroonians capable of expressing themselves with power and conviction. His initiative bridges academic excellence, effective expression, and leadership development.
