Minister of Youth and Civic Education Mounouna Foutsou chaired over the official kick-off of the civil activities of the 54th National Day on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Campo, Southern Region.
On very high instructions from the Head of State, H.E. Paul Biya, the ceremony took place at the Campo-ville public school under the theme “National Unity, pillar of our defense and pillar of Cameroon’s development.”
The event also marked an economic turning point for local youth. On the sidelines, the Minister handed over various government support packages to beneficiaries of the Special Youth Triennial Plan (PTS-Jeunes) and organized youth groups in the Ocean Department.
This government initiative aimed to strengthen national integration, youth empowerment, and social cohesion as the country prepares for the grand parade on May 20.
The launch underscores the central role of young people in fostering unity and contributing to Cameroon’s development.
