Prof. Wilfred Nyongbet Gabsa, Secretary General of MINESUP, launched a crucial review session of professional sector programs on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the École Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé

Under the impetus of the presidential message “quality assurance, professionalization and employability,” the review meetings mobilized heads of faculties of Arts, Letters, Human Sciences and Educational Sciences from all state universities across Cameroon.
The sessions aim to eliminate disparities in pedagogical models that currently exist between different state universities.
By establishing a common foundation of teaching units and uniform evaluation criteria, the government seeks to fully optimize the implementation of the LMD system (Licence-Master-Doctorat) and create greater consistency in program delivery nationwide.
This harmonization will significantly facilitate academic mobility between institutions, allowing students to transfer credits more easily and pursue studies across universities without losing progress. It will also ensure better integration of graduates into the labor market through more coherent, standardized, and competitive training paths at the national level.
The initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening the quality and relevance of higher education programs in Cameroon. It aligns professional curricula more closely with evolving market demands, enhances the employability of graduates, and reinforces the overall competitiveness of Cameroon’s higher education system.
