GCE 2026

The GCE 2026 practical examinations in Cameroon are a key component of academic assessment, allowing candidates to demonstrate hands-on skills before the written papers. According to the official timetable released by the GCE Board, practical sessions will run from early to late May 2026, including Food and Nutrition (05–08 May), ICT (07–09 May), Biology (11–15 May), French practical (15–19 May), Computer Science (12 May), Geology (16 May), Chemistry (18 May), Physics (21–23 May), and Advanced Food Science (25–27 May), with slight variations depending on centers. These exams mainly cover science and technical subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, and Computer Science, requiring students to apply theory in real or laboratory situations. Beyond passing, they test essential skills like observation, accuracy, experimentation, and problem-solving, making them crucial for future academic and professional paths. However, candidates often face challenges such as limited equipment, inadequate preparation, and exam anxiety, which makes early preparation important. To succeed, students are encouraged to practice past questions, familiarize themselves with laboratory tools, attend revision sessions, manage their time effectively, and remain calm during the exams.
