The donation by the Association of Cameroon Nurse Anesthetists in America (ACNAA) was unveiled during the opening of the 5th Cameroon Conference of Nurse Anesthetists and Surgical Mission, held from April 13 to 18, 2026 in the university of Ngoa-ekelle.
The official handover of cutting-edge medical equipment took place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the conference’s opening ceremony.
ACNAA’s Vice President Dr. Nge-Nwie Azefor, along with former President Prof. Edwin Aroke and other executive members, presented the kits to the Deputy Director General of CHUY. This donation underscores ACNAA’s dedication to improving surgical and anesthesia care in Cameroon by equipping local facilities with modern tools.
The conference, attended by over 200 nurses from Cameroon and America had as it’s theme “Education, collaboration, and empowerment: Together for safe anesthesia care in Cameroon.”
